HPHT Diamonds

High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) Diamonds growth process mimics the extreme pressure (over 1.5 million pounds per square inch) and high temperatures (above 1,500°C) found in the Earth’s mantle. The HPHT press consists of a hydraulic system that compresses a carbon source (usually graphite) within a metal catalyst (such as iron, aluminum or nickel) inside a reaction cell. Under these conditions, carbon atoms rearrange into a diamond crystal structure.

The most popular growth method today is growth by a Cubic Press with multiple diamond crystals growth per cycle, in various size cubic presses, the 750 Model is the most popular where 650 Model is its predecessor and 850, 950 & 1100 Models are the future of HPHT Growth.

There are 2 other systems that are used to grow HPHT Diamonds on a single diamond crystal growth method, BARS & Toroid Presses.
